Delk-Wood Salem, OR - August 2001 - Valley Oil Co. has announced that all of the company's Regional Sales Managers have been certified through NATA's Safety 1st Program. In addition, the company's Customer Service Manager and the Vice President of Technical Services were also certified, bringing the total number to 11 Valley Oil personnel to have completed the training program. The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) developed the NATA Safety 1st program to enhance ground safety by identifying the knowledge and skills required of professional aviation line service personnel and assuring their competence through objective testing. Technicians must pass both a written and practical test. "Valley Oil has always been very supportive of the
NATA Safety 1st program. Having the entire Valley Oil
sales team certified through the program shows that Valley not only "talks
the talk, but also walks the walk," said Amy Koranda, NATA's Manager
of Education & Training. "Valley Oil recognizes the crucial role of safety when it comes to fuel and line service operations. We realized the benefit of having our personnel certified not only from a safety perspective, but as a way to serve our customers better and encourage them to make safety as much of a priority as we have," said Mike Delk, Valley Oil Co. President. Established in 1939 in Salem, Oregon, Valley Oil
